Doing it Wrong
When a good thing goes bad, it’s not the end of the world
It’s just the end of a world, that you had with one girl
And she’s the reason it happened, but she’s overreacting
And it’s all because she don’t want things to change

Day 1.
He saw a beautiful girl sitting on the bench. She was doodling in her notebook. He nervously sat next to her. There was an unbearable awkward silence. He had to break it. “Nice day, today. Huh?” He asked. Nothing. She still sat there, as if she didn’t even know he was there. He looked around. He tapped her on her shoulder. Once she turned, he found out she had her earphones on. “Can I borrow a pen?” Nick asked. She looked at the smiling boy, giving him a look that she didn’t hear him. “A pen.” He said while pretending he was writing on air. “Pen.” The boy repeated once more. She finally understood and passed her neon pink gel pen. He took it and wrote a couple words down. “Thanks, I appreciate it.” Nick said.
Day 2
He waited for her by the bench. Nick checked his watch. She should be here by now. He thought to himself. She soon walked toward him. She flashed him a sweet smile and opened her notebook. She had her earphones on like yesterday paired with a white v-neck, black skinny jeans and converse. She sat further away from him. As seconds started to pass, she continued to draw onto the pages of her notebook in a red sharpie. He scootched over to her. More seconds seemed to pass. “What are you listening to?” He asked, trying to break the silence. But she didn’t look up. He placed his hands into his pockets. He felt a pad of sticky notes. He grinned. He took them out and wrote on them with his black sharpie. “What are you listening to?” He wrote down onto the bright yellow sticky note. He stuck it near her, in between them. She looked at the note and the pad of sticky notes next to it. She smiled. She took it writing on it.
It wasn’t long till he got his reply. “A special song.” She described it, in her bright red sharpie. The note was placed next to him. He smiled. He took the pad of sticky notes and continued to write down. “Can I hear?” He wrote as he placed the sticky note near her, in between them. She took it. “No. It’s embarrassing.” She wrote, sticking it near him.
They continued a conversation. With simple “What’s your name?” “School?” “Age” Questions. After an hour passed, they had a pile of sticky notes stuck in between them. He took the pad. “What’s your number?” He asked, sticking the pink sticky note, on top of their other notes. “I don’t have one.” She replied. He rolled his eyes. “You’re a terrible liar.” He wrote down once again. Although they did not speak, he felt something for this girl. Her smile, her eyes, her humor.
It took him a second to see she had replied. “Haha, If you want, I’ll be here again tomorrow?” He smiled. “Sure. See you then.” He wrote the last note that would be shared that day. And with that, she left with a smile on her face.
Day 3.
He waited for her once more. She was a couple minutes late. He soon saw her once more. Earphones on, once again. She wore a “Cool Story Bro” jacket and white jeans with blue vans. He had his notebook out once again. She came with a sticky note in her hand. She pasted it onto his notebook. “It’s good to see you again.” It read with a smiley face at the end. She sat next him. He took out his sticky note. “You’re late. Again.” He wrote, then pasting it on the side of her arm. She laughed and read it. She playfully pushed him as he joined in the laughter. They continued to post sticky notes on each other. She took a sticky note and wrote on it. “Would you want to listen to my song?” She wrote. He took the blank sticky note that was on his forehead and wrote on it. “Yeah, I’d like that.” He pasted on her notebook.
She took off her earphones and passed them to him.
He placed them in his ears, scared of how loud it was going to be, since she couldn’t hear him, when he was so close. But as he waited, there was no sound, no words, no melodies that came out of her earphones.
“I don’t hear anything?” Nick said taking them off confused. She sighed looking down.
She then started making signs with her hands. It took him a while to fully comprehend what was happening.
She was deaf.
He took a sticky note and wrote on it as she looked away. He placed it onto her notebook. It read “You’re still beautiful.”

I don’t normally tag my scenarios anymore, but this time I will because I feel as if it’ll bring a smile onto people’s faces as they read it.
I Did It For You~
Minutes turn to hours, hours turn to days. Knew what I had to do, couldn’t find the words to say.
I walked into ICON with my pink gym bag weighing heavily on my shoulders. I closed my eyes, hoping I wouldn’t have to do this. But I knew the longer I waited, the more hurt he would feel. I walked straight up to the peppy boy with the amazing brown eyes. “Jason?” I called out. I gulped. My hands started shaking. “Yeah?” He said smiling walking over to me, putting his hand around me.
I could say I’m sorry, wouldn’t mean a thing. Tell you what you want to hear, Baby what you wanted wasn’t for me.

I sat down on the bed of my bedroom. 25. Lonely. I sighed. It was my last day in Englishtown before I was moving to Seattle for my new job. Although this would be an amazing opportunity.. there’s one thing keeping me back. Nick Mara. I sighed. He’s the boy I’ve been in love with since the 4th grade when he kissed my cheek under the biggest tree in the city. We’ve been friends ever since but … he just doesn’t know my feelings for him. It was hard watching him with his girlfriends and hearing about it all. I looked down. My heart hurt too much to just sit around and do nothing. My hand reached for my phone and dialed a familiar number. I didn’t know what my hands and fingers were doing. Before I realized who’s number I was dialing, a kind friendly voice spoke from the other line. “Hello?” A deep voice rang from the other line. “Uh… Hi…” I said shaking. I closed my eyes as my heart pounded. “Maria….” He said. I bit my lip.
Well it’s good to hear your voice, I hope you’re doing fine. And if you ever wondered… I’m lonely here tonight.
“It’s been a while.” I said as if my words had a mind of it’s own. “Yeah…” He chuckled. “So, how’s life?” He continued. I smiled. “Pretty good. Today’s my last day in Englishtown.” I said frowning. “What?” He asked. “I’m moving to Seattle tomorrow for a job offer.” I said wrapping my free arm around my body. I heard him faintly chuckle. “I love how you’ve already been offered a job at 25. Smart-ass.” He said. I giggled. “Yeah..” I said. An awkward silence came along ruining the conversation. I closed my eyes hoping he would say those words. 4 letters. 1 syllable. “Stay.”
If you ask me, I will stay.
That was the word I was hoping to hear escape from his mouth an echo through the phone line. But instead he just wished me luck and hoped we’d keep in touch. I sighed. I haven’t noticed it was already dark out. I walked out to the balcony and saw the night sky. It was so clear. No clouds in the way. Nothing blocking the shining stars. The wind swirled around me. I felt goosebumps on my arm. I wrapped my arms around my body. I looked up at the millions of stars that was presented in front of my eyes. I remember watching the stars from my window in my old house and calling Nick the next day wondering if he saw them too. It always seemed as if they were brighter the nights where he was watching them also.
I look up at the stars, and hope you’re doing the same.
I woke up the next morning with a frown on my face. This was the day. A new start to something I didn’t want to forget. I had no choice. This was an amazing opportunity and I only have one life to live, I might never get this chance again. I couldn’t believe I was going to leave what made me stay this whole time.
I hopped into the taxi watching the power lines go up and down. I watched how the rain drops fell from the window. This would be the last time I would see this. I finally arrived in the airport. I kept waiting. Hoping he would show up. He never did. I looked down. I would be late if I didn’t leave. I finally gave up and checked in.
If today I don’t see your face, no one can take your place. It gets harder everyday.
Something made me wait. Wait for 2 more minutes although I was already running late. I looked back at the airport entrance and frowned. I sighed. As I turned around with my royal blue suitcase, I heard my name being called. A smile immediately appeared at my face.
I never want to lose you, and If I had to, I would choose you.
Nick ran to me. Drips of sweat fell from his forehead. “Maria…. please don’t go. Stay. For me. For us. I have loved you ever since I kissed you… but I hadn’t realized it till yesterday. Stay.” Tears formed in his eyes. The same happened with me. “I love you Nick.” I said jumping in his arms. I pulled away. I looked deep into his brown eyes. I smiled. We both leaned in. I felt his lips brush onto mine.
I learned that although I might never have an amazing opportunity like this again…. I only have one chance at love.
Requested Scenario: Not Over You. (Sheila)

Mikey’s POV
-6 Months before-
I looked at my friends and family who were standing in the airport lobby who held up “GOOD LUCK ICONic Boyz!” I chuckled. We were leaving for ABDC6 in a couple of hours. Although I was looking at my friends and family, only one girl caught my eye. Sheila. My girlfriend. I smiled and walked over to her putting my arm around her. She tried to hide her face in her hair. “What’s wrong?” I asked her. She looked at me. “I’m going to miss you.” I sighed. I brought her closer to me rubbing her back. “Don’t worry, I’m going to be back and when I’ll be back in June, I promise you, we’ll go on an amazing date. You see, I’ll even make reservations now.” I said taking out my iPhone and showing her the reservations I just made to one of the nicest restaurants in Englishtown. She smiled. Hours passed by and it was time to board the plane. “It’s time to go live our dreams.” I said boarding the plane. I didn’t look back because I knew looking at Sheila would make me burst into tears.
Dreams, that’s where I have to go.
-1 month into the competition-
I walked into the hotel with a girl in my arms. Her name was Sarah. I smiled. I know it wasn’t right but what Sheila doesn’t know, won’t hurt her.
Nicolette looked at me and pulled her phone out. I gulped.
-1 month after the competition-
Sheila and I broke up. I was devastated, but knew I deserved it. I took my phone out. (1) New Reminder. My phone showed. I pressed on it. “Dinner date with the beautiful Sheila” I sat down on my couch. I sighed and closed my eyes. I took out my phone and texted Sheila. I tried to re-connect with her just as friends but I could always sense her guard was up…. but who could blame her?
7:00 From Sheila:
-Hey…
7:01 To Sheila:
-Hey.
7:01 From Sheila:
-So how are you doin’?
If you ask me how I’m doin I would say I’m doin just fine, I would lie and say that you’re not on my mind.
7:02: From Sheila:
I heard you were over me..
I looked at my phone. I sighed. This is my chance.
7:07 To Sheila:
Look, No matter what they say, I’m not over you. I know that you probably hate me, but if you ever do have feelings for me… meet me at Albivi’s tonight at 7. If you come, I know you would give us another shot…. but if you don’t… then I know that we’re done… for good.
I closed my phone and resisted the urge to open it. I ran to Albivi’s not giving a damn if it was raining cats and dogs. Vinny helped me out set up a table for two. Flowers…. candles. “Thanks bro.” I said man-hugging him. “No problem he said leaving.” I looked at the clock “6:59” I gulped. 10 minutes passed. I refused to give up. “Maybe she’s just late?” I kept telling myself. But after the clock struck 7:30 I gave up. I got up with tears starting in my eyes.
But I go out and I sit down at a table set for two and finally I’m forced to face the truth…
As I got up ready to leave. I felt a tap on my back. I turned around. Sheila stood there, her hair dripping wet. “I just got your text…” She said looking down.
I lifted her chin. I took her into my arms and twirled her like they do in the movies. I held onto her and never let go. “I’ll never make the mistake of losing you again.” I said bringing her closer. She looked at me. “I love you Mikey…..” She said smiling. “I love you too Sheila.” I said looking into her brown eyes. I kissed her.
When We Say~
I dialed Nick. I held the invitation in my hand. Ring. Ring. He picked up almost immediately. “Hello?” He asked. I took a deep breath. “Hey, long time no talk, bro.” I said smiling. “Hey Mikey.” He said chuckling. “It’s been awhile. How’s life?” I asked my long time best friend. “Life’s alright. Hey, did you know she’s getting married today?” He didn’t dare mention her name, especially in front of me. I sighed. “Yeah, I got the invitation in the mail.” I responded. “Well, are you going to go?” He asked. I licked my lips as I closed my eyes. “I don’t know, should I?” I asked him. “Look, Mikey, I know there’s still something between you two. The way she would look at you, the sparks that flew between you both … was unimaginable. Stop her, what more could you lose? I know deep down inside, that’s what she’s waiting for.” He said. I thanked him and told him we should catch up on life later this week. He agreed. I hopped into my tux and drove for the church.
And this is the part when we say we’re in love and the part where we have our first kiss…
I arrived at the church, late. Stupid traffic. I hoped it wasn’t too late. I swear, my lip probably had a cut considering how much I bit it, helping me prevent yelling out in nervousness. My heart beat raced. My adrenaline rushed. I walked into the church. I was too late. They were already married. I had the flowers I was going to give her in my hand. Tears were building up in my eyes but I quickly wiped them away. All this for nothing. I swear, if I didn’t fucking get her flowers, maybe I would have been on time. Our eyes met. I licked my lips. I looked at her directly and said. “Just tell me you don’t love me. Tell me you don’t feel the way I do. Tell me I don’t make you smile like I do when you walk into the room. This hurts so much to know you’re with someone else when you should be with me.” I walked out of the church. I threw the flowers on the ground as did my tears, this time I didn’t stop them. I hopped into my car and drove away, leaving my love, my life, behind me. Most people would want me to fight for her if I truly loved her, but you know the saying “if you love something, let it go, if it comes back, it’s yours, but if it doesn’t, it was never yours in the first place.” That’s exactly what I did, she didn’t come back, she found a replacement, she moved on.
But this ain’t a fantasy, I know you can’t come with me
You got your life, he better be treatin’ you right.
Requested Scenario: Baby We’re Invicible. (Chloe)
For: Chloe
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I stand in the Meet&Greet line anticipated to meet them. I’ve feel in love with them ever since I first saw them on ABDC, but my eyes always went to the one who flashed his abs, Mikey. I smiled. I loved them all, but Mikey, just a little bit more. It was almost my turn.
Baby, I’m waiting to make my move. But I’m scared and I know that you got better things to do.
I didn’t know why I was so nervous. I fiddled around with the presents I was going to give them. I had everything I wanted to be signed. They wore their regular Boyz Will Be Boyz shirts with their Urban Empire Sweats and Vlados. I had on my Boyz Will Be Boyz shirt also, which I ordered a bit too big so I had to use al the big parts and drag them to the side and tie a knot. I wore my skinny jeans and Red Vlados.
I was next, I walked over to the first guy on the left, Madison. I smiled at him. I gave him the bracelet I made him which said “Madison MadBoy Alamia.” He thanked me and we took a picture. He signed the back of my shirt. We moved a long. Next one was Louis. I gave him the bracelet that said “Dipippa Dipitbull” He smiled at me with those huge cheeks and signed the back of my shirt. I moved a long to Jason. He smiled greeting me saying “Hi.” What a sweetie. I gave him the bracelet and he signed my shirt and posed for a picture. The line continued. Finally, the guy I was waiting to meet greeted me. “Hi!” He said. I gave him the bracelet and asked for a picture. He stood up next to me putting his arm around me as I smiled. Geo took the picture. As Geo was pressing the button down, Mikey immediately kissed my cheek. I smiled extremely hard, I was scared that my face looked demented in the picture. I was going to thank him but he asked me to stay, he slipped a piece of paper into my hand. He smiled at me one last time before getting back in his chair. I walked away and carefully opened the piece of paper. “Once everything is finished, meet me later I’ll be out back. -Mikey ;)” I smiled hysterically. I got a bunch glares from girls who witnessed what happened seconds ago, but I didn’t care. I could get a million glares right now, but my wouldn’t change.
If I could take these words and fill them up with air, I’d fly you out to the stars.
Hours passed. I was still waiting, guess that’s what you get for being first. The boyz weren’t there anymore. I sighed. I knew this was to good to be true.
I’m leaving but it’s not because of you.
As I exited the venue I noticed Mikey outside waiting for me. I smiled. He gave me a smile and hugged me.
Will you hold me tight and never let go?
We hanged out the whole day. He gave me his number. My mom sent me a text telling me I had to get home for important news. He looked me into the eyes and said “I know that this isn’t something I ever thought would happen, but Chloe, will you be my girlfriend? I know it’s short notice but I notice their was something special when I first saw you.” He said nervously. I didn’t know what to say. It seemed as if the words just poured out of my mouth. “Yes, I’d love to be your girlfriend.” We discussed how will we keep touch. I went home and heard the news my mom wouldn’t stop texting me about. I was moving to Jersey. I couldn’t keep sane. I told him the next day.
Who knew, that the day we met would be an awesome story to tell our kids.
Baby We’re Invicible.
Requested Scenario: Blame It On The Rain. (Stacey)
I saw him with her. The way he would flash his amazing smile that could light up the whole world…. to that slut. Did he know he was getting played? Did he know he was just a toy to play when she’s bored? So innocent, so young. If only he was mine, he’d see how much I love him. He’d see true love. He’d get treated right.
Does she look at you the way I do?
The bell rang. I hurried off to class knowing that’ll be the only class shared between Nick and I without any girl to come between. I sat in my usual spot. He walked in analyzing the room. He saw an open seat next to me. He smiled and took the one right next to me. I could sense some eyes on us but I decided to shrug it off. “Hey, I’m Nick.” He said. I giggled. I’ve been in the same school as if since we were kids and he’s only introducing himself now? “I know. We’ve been attending the same school ever since kindergarden.” I said laughing. He looked at me shocked. “Stacey?!” He said. “Yeeaaah?” I asked. We both laughed. “Wanna hang out tonight? Catch up on life?” He said opening his text book. I nodded. I smiled. Tonight. Tonight.
I catch my breath.
The bell rung once again. I walked out shoving my books into my locker. Nick came by leaning on the locker next to me. “So, what time…” Before he could finish his sentence, the slut of the school came once again and dragged him off. I could see the apologetic look on his face.
My heart, it breaks at the thought. Of her holding you.
I imagined where they were going, what they were doing. Was that enough to cancel our date? I mean, it was a date after all right?
You got me caught in all this mess. I guess we can blame it on the rain.
I hurried off to my next class knowing that will be the one with Nick and her. I took my usual spot, 2nd row, 3 seat. Nick walked in hand-in-hand with her. I sighed. There goes my chance.
Does she get the same big rush, when you go for a hug and your cheeks brush.
The date came. I waited and waited. Right when I was going to give up and honk came. I ran out and saw him. He drove me to the pizzeria a couple minutes away. We both ordered a slice of pepperoni pizza. We talked about how we’ve been. “I remember how close we were in 4th grade.” He said. “What happened?” He asked. I looked down. “She happened.” He knew what I was talking about. “I’m really sorry.” He said looking at me with those eyes. I nodded once. His phone beeped. Of course, who else could it be except for her.
Knowing if I but just one kiss. This room would be glowing. We’d be glowing.
He looked at me. I looked at him. He started leaning in. I started leaning in too. We kissed. His soft lips brushing onto mine.
This room would be glowing. We’d be glowing.
